DESCRIPTION:This programme is designed to meet the QQI specification for ca
 ndidates wishing to gain the QQI Level 6 Award for Manual Handling Instruc
 tor.\n\nThe 5 day programme is highly interactive\, with a clear focus bei
 ng placed on the analysis of practical manual handling techniques\, risk a
 ssessment and the development of trainer skills.\n\nThe programme includes
  comprehensive information on:\n\n 	Legal Aspects relating to Manual Handl
 ing\n 	Delivery of a Practical Manual Handling lesson – covering Theoret
 ical and Practical elements\, using the Anderlift Presentation Model.\n 	A
 natomy of the Spine\, Work Physiology\, Fitness and Flexibility\, Biomecha
 nics (Presented by Chartered Physiotherapist).\n 	Instructional Skills - 
  to include student preperation and delivery of specified short presentati
 ons.\n 	Practical Lifting and moving of loads at different levels – Anal
 ysis of participant performance is a key factor of this module.\n 	Manual 
 Handling Risk Assessment and Ergonomics – This module focuses on the use
  of approved Risk Assessment templates to examine workplace manual handlin
 g activity. The module will also provide guidance on an important Risk Ass
 essment Assignment that forms part of the overall course assessment.\n\n&n
 bsp\;\n\nFinal Assessment includes:\n\n 	Student Presentations of Manual H
 andling Modules\n 	Written Test\n 	Practical Manual Handling Assessment\n 
 	Final Briefing on Course Assignment\n 	Course Discussion and Conclusion\n
